Is Accelerate-It compatible with Windows ME?
Yes. Accelerate-It supports Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, and Windows 95. However, the FAT32DC component of Accelerate-It requires Windows 95 version 4.00.950B (OSR2) or later. Versions of Windows prior to this do not support the FAT32 file system.

How do I tell if I have the right version of Windows 95 for Accelerate-It's FAT32DC component?
Click the Start button and select Settings, Control Panel. After the Control Panel Window appears, locate and double-click on the System icon. This will open the System Properties dialog. Make sure the General page (tab) is selected. In the upper right corner of the General page, you should see the Windows 95 version number appearing directly underneath the Windows 95 name. The version number should read either "4.00.950B" or "4.00.950C". If the version number you see does not end with letters "B" or "C", or if it ends with the letter "A", your version of Windows 95 does not have FAT32 support. An upgrade to Windows 98 will be needed to obtain the necessary FAT32 support.

Does Accelerate-It's QuickStart component replace Windows 98's Launch Accelerator?
Not completely. QuickStart still generates Windows 98 compatible application log files that are used by the defragmenter to optimize applications on your disk. However, QuickStart does not require these log files to be processed by the defragmenter before providing its acceleration benefit. Also, QuickStart's log files instruct the defragmenter to lay out the application files on the disk in a different manner than Windows 98 to enhance performance with shared program components like DLLs.

If I purchase and install Accelerate-It, will it automatically uninstall the trial version?
Yes. Accelerate-It automatically uninstalls the trial version during the installation process.

Does Accelerate-It support Windows 2000 (NT)?
Accelerate-It is currently available for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME only.

Will Accelerate-It ever slow down my system?
No. Once Accelerate-It has profiled an application, or disk operation, it will either accelerate it or leave it alone depending on whether a performance benefit can be realized.

How does Accelerate-It's QuickStart differ from Windows 98's Launch Accelerator?
Accelerate-It's QuickStart provides a performance benefit almost immediately whereas Windows 98 requires you to defragment your disk prior to providing any performance enhancement. In addition, QuickStart does a much better job managing shared program components like DLLs.
