DOWNLOADING FAQ

How do I download the software?
Once your purchase has gone through and you receive your receipt, click the Continue button to go to My Account Downloads. Here you will receive additional download instructions and a list of the products you ordered. Click the Download button next to the product you want to download. This will begin the file transfer from our server to your computer.

Can I burn the download file to a CD or DVD?
Yes. We recommend saving the file to a temporary location on your hard disk first, and then burning the file to CD or DVD using your recording software.

Where should I save the download file?
You should save the file to a location on your hard disk where you can easily locate it. We recommend the Windows desktop since you can always move the file to a different folder after you have had a chance to install the software.

Is downloading the same as installing?
No. Downloading is the process of transferring the file from our server to your computer. Installing is the process of executing the downloaded file to configure and setup the software on your computer. The file you download is often a Setup program. When you run a Setup program, it guides you through the setup and installation of the software product.

What if the download stops before it is complete?
You can initiate another download by logging into My Account Downloads at our Customer Service Center. Click the Download button next to the product you were downloading. If your browser supports resuming of interrupted downloads, the download will resume where it left off.

If I lose my Internet connection during the download, will the download resume where it left off?
Usually. Most modern browsers support resuming of a file download without the need to re-download the entire file. Simply re-initate the download.

How do re-initiate a download that was interrupted?
You can initiate another download by logging into My Account Downloads at our Customer Service Center. Click the Download button next to the product you were downloading. If your browser supports resuming of interrupted downloads, the download will resume where it left off.

The download is complete, but where did it go?
The best way to know where your downloads are going is to pay close attention to the Save As window at the beginning of the download process. Once you have clicked the download button and selected the option to save the file, you will be given the Save As window, which shows you exactly where your download is being saved to on your computer. If you know the filename, you could also do a search on your computer for it.
